The Gjestal Cortina Soft is made of 100% pure wool, which makes it an excellent choice not just for regular knitting, but felting too. The thick yarn should be used with sticks with a width of at least 8mm. The rugged texture and raw look of this yarn give your knitted scarves, jackets, and mats a classic, antiquated look that we love so dearly. The highlight of this yarn is its ability to be felted. You can use wet felting methods to tangle the fibers together and create a well-held base for your placemats, slippers, baskets, wall hangings, and rugs. Available in 8 colors, there’s plenty to choose from for your next project.
The yarn can be machine washed by wool program, so it is also more everyday friendly.
